Goodbye Bath....

After 10 years in England, I finally return home to Norway today. Bath has been a wonderful place to live, and will be missed, but I am looking forward to a new chapter in our lives with new exciting adventures. Goodbye Bath, hello Sandnes!

Sorry for quiet blog, but so much had to be sorted before we left. Will try and update again as soon as we are settled in. See you soon bloglandia.

Nordic charm

Last night in Bath, everything packed and shipped. New adventures ahead. Dreaming of a home like this one, with a lovely log burning fire. Scandinavian bliss.

Illums Bolighus

Beautiful photography by Heidi Lerkenfeldt for Illums Bolighus. Love the muted tones and the way it feels like they are playing with scale. Quite a few of these items are on my 'One day' wish list.

Line Klein

Some of you might already have discovered the beautiful images of Danish photographer Line Klein, but if you haven't I would highly recommend having a look at her inspiring blog or her website. Originally a food and portrait photographer, she also has some stunning interior and still life images which I just had to share.

Going home

Things are pretty hectic here, so posting has been very slow. These images styled by Lo Bjurulf have been in my 'must post' pile for ages now. They have such a beautifully delicate feel to them.
Tomorrow it is 14 days until my husband and I move from wonderful Bath and start a new life in my native Norway. After 10 years in England the prospect of moving home is both daunting and exciting. England has treated me well and I have loved living here, but I feel it is now time to go home.

Thank you!

How lovely is this space? Gorgeous high ceilings and massive windows together with the concrete walls just makes for such an amazing combo. The natural wood and linen keeps it from getting to cold and industrial. Love it!

I have had a great few weeks on the blog, lots of new people finding their way here. Thanks to all of you for your support and great comments. It makes it so much more fun to know that I am part of something greater here in blogland, and not just ranting to myself.

Also want to take this opportunity to thank the lovely Jo and Kim over on Desire to Inspire for sending so much love my way the last week. Such an honour to be mentioned not just once, but twice. Thank you girls!

Bright white

Great space filled with lots of light. Stripped back to the bare essentials, but left with lots of character. I love how they have painted some of the beams but left others in their original state.

String

Beautiful shelving systems from Swedish String. Designed in 1949 by Nils Strinning, they have a timeless design. I love how light and almost weightless they look.
