Dark kitchen beauty

Another dark wood kitchen has caught my eye. Although I'm not sure I would ever choose units this dark for myself, I do love the drama of it. And that raw wood table is stunning.

Vosges Paris

This is the beautiful home of Desiree the lady behind Vosges Paris, photographed for IKEA Family Live. I am completely in love with this calm and tranquil space and its muted shades of grey. Please can I move in, or at least come round for some relaxing afternoon tea?

Purple and brown

Kitchen envy

How amazing is this space? The exposed beams, the dark wood kitchen units, the contrasting light wood floor and the wishbone chairs, all so very gorgeous.

Spring dining

This months Nib competition is 'Party table', and for once I have gotten around to acctually participating. Since the weather has been amazing here in Bath, I thought I would try and set up a garden party table. It is the first time my beautiful 'Lilje' silver cutlery has been out of the draw since I brought it over from Norway. I think it is so pretty, but have never had an occasion to use it. We got the Sophie Conran service for our wedding and the glasses are from Habitat. Pretty, but fragile, I have already snapped a couple of stems. Hope you like my little garden party. For more tables check out the Nib website.

Playing with colour

This Paris home is such fun. Some really gutsy use of colour. I especially love the dark blue hallway.

Paddington home

Beautiful example of blending old and new, picking out the period details in subtle hues and blending them with midcentury modern furniture. Great set of colours as well.

Dark linen

The work of two of my favorite creatives, stylist and blogger Lotta Agaton and photographer Pia Ulin.
