Just back from Norway after a wonderful week. We went to my little sisters 'confirmation' and as any Norwegian can verify that entails the following: Beautiful national costumes, smoked and cured fish, cold sliced meats and lots, and lots of cake! We did however find time to enjoy some of the stunning scenery as well. Deep forests and high peaks. Bliss.

Here are some lovely ways to use natural materials in your Christmas decorations. I love this star wreath, and the ice lanterns are just magical.
I am currently in the valleys of Norway enjoying the beautiful winter weather. Cold and crisp, with a layer of frost covering everything. Here are some images from the walk today.
